ANKH – THE KEY OF LIFE – PENDANT
€15,00
Ankh is one of the most recognizable symbols of ancient Egypt. It is also known by the names “breath of life”, “key of life” and “key of the Nile”.
The ancient Egyptians knew that man’s earthly journey was only part of the eternal cycle of life and existence. Therefore, this symbol represents the concept of eternity and immortality, as we never really die, but only transform.
It includes several important symbols:
The Scarab is a beetle that represented the Sun, life and rebirth in ancient Egypt. Due to the rolling of the dung balls, the Scarab became a symbol of the Sun and the creative life force of the Universe. In accordance with this earthly symbol of the celestial cycle, it was also associated with rebirth, and its name can actually be translated as “to come into being”.
The Eye of Horus is an ancient symbol that represents the “eye that sees everything” – the eye of “god” or the One Source Consciousness, also the eye of Oneness that sees through polarity, the Third Eye and the Eye of the Heart. It is one of the most important symbols that can be found in all ancient cultures. The ancient Mystery schools took it as their symbol because of all the above, and at first it was only allowed to be used by the highest priests and priestesses. Later, in dynastic Egypt, the eye of Horus became a symbol of ruling power, knowledge, wisdom, and protection from negative forces – in this life and in the afterlife.
The circle around the eye represents the eternal cycle of life and immortality.
The wings illustrate the power of the Spirit (in ancient Egypt it was depicted as the Falcon), which sees and observes everything from the heights. The wings also symbolize the power of the Being, which appears when the Kundalini energy is fully activated.
The snake was an extremely sacred animal in ancient Egypt, as it represented Kundalini energy with its movement. It was also a symbol of universal creation and destruction – her poison could heal (from which priests prepared medicines) and also kill. The two snakes represent a fully activated and balanced female and male Kundalini energy.
The lotus flower is considered a symbol of purity, beauty and perfection. This beautiful flower grows from the muddy bottom of the swamp and spreads its beautiful petals in the sunlight. Therefore, it is also a metaphor for the spiritual growth of man, who rises from the darkness of ignorance to the light of knowledge. The three lotus flowers represent the trinity of Being (Spirit, Soul, Body).
Ankh can be hung on the wall or placed on a shelf / altar.
It is a combination of seven extremely important and powerful symbols, whose presence will remind you time and time again of these ancient concepts of Wisdom and activate dormant memories in you.
